| Job Title: Marketing Manager |
| Description |
Ensure communication is maintained between board, downtown property owners, businesses and the community.
Implement 2008 Strategic Plan by developing strategies, with the consent of the Economic Development Board, concerning marketing and promotion, environmental appeal and parking concerns.
Provide administrative support for the Main Street Program and Board through economic restructuring, organization, preservation, design and promotion committee structure.
Encourage partnership with community organizations by building support with the City , GREDF, Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau and Park District.
Assist businesses and property owners by providing guidance on advertising and marketing, coordinating consulting, services with the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and other professional consultation as appropriate.
Manage the administration of the office including record keeping and accounting, budget development (jointly with Board and/or treasurer), purchasing, preparing and filing reports, filing of legal documents (jointly with Board and/or president and secretary and/or accountant) and hiring and supervising other regular or contractual employees.
Develop and conduct, in conjunction with Board, public awareness and education programs by fostering public understanding of mission, goals and activities through the "In the District" newspaper insert, and developing a cooperative relationship with the media.
Develop and maintain a database to track progress in implementation of the strategic plan, economic investment, building inventories, business recruitment and retention, job creation, sales tax receipts and volunteer participation.
